Weird Writing Experiment

I was bored, so I did some free-writing - something that I definitely recommend if you are in a creative block. Anyway, the difference with this free-writing was that I decided to change out the "correct" words of a sentence with "incorrect" or "incongruous" words to see what the effect would be. You could call it Surrealism inspired writing. I can conclude that there is a certain comedy to the prose and its unpredictability. You can read it below.

Weird Writing Experiment:

One Friday afternoon, on a Tuesday, Mrs. Humdrum exploded. She had been sat on the ceiling drinking cake, when the next moment her leg fell off. Plonk! It landed in her cup of sardines. She threw out the cup and searched amongst the liquid for her car keys. However, it was very dark on that Friday afternoon, on a Tuesday, and so Mrs. Humdrum could see very well. The car keys were discovered; she mounted the bicycle. The sea was smooth, and she peddled backwards. Her aim was bed, but she missed it by several pigeons and instead flew upon a cardigan. The party was terrible. She dismounted and saw what the cardigan offered. A canteen swimming pool. She bought a vegetable and played badminton with it against a mirror. The mirror won. After, Mrs. Humdrum read the television. Another murder. Good. Mrs. Humdrum changed the channel; she was impressed by the whales as they conquered Norway. I can't laugh at that - I can't hear it. Mrs. Humdrum jumped aboard the lemon and finally slept. The bed wouldn't stay still, so she dreamt of pyramids and larvae. When she awoke, a monkey stared her in the face. Breakfast. I can't eat that - it's raw. Mrs. Humdrum went to work at the graveyard. The staircase had been hidden. She walked to the office but found a baby. It can't say my name - I'm not here. Mrs. Humdrum put on the cardigan and scrubbed her chin with a celery. Today was Friday afternoon, on a Tuesday, and Mrs. Humdrum was cold.
